FITKIND PRIVACY POLICY
Last modified: 29 April 2026
Effective date: 29 April 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how FitKind Limited ("FitKind", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects personal data when you use the FitKind mobile apps, Apple Watch app, website, support pages, and related services (the "Service").
FitKind launches as a personal fitness tracker. The current Service focuses on workout logging, templates, training history, progress tracking, readiness context, wearable/health-platform sync where enabled, subscriptions, account support, and related product analytics. Social networking, public feeds, direct messaging, professional marketplace, organisation portals, and community features are not part of the launch Service unless we separately make them available and update this policy.
Data We Collect
Account Data
We collect data needed to create, secure, and support your account, such as:
- Email address.
- Name or display name if you provide it.
- Authentication events and account status.
- Device, app version, platform, and support diagnostics.
Fitness and Workout Data
We collect fitness data you enter, import, or generate in FitKind, such as:
- Workout logs, exercises, sets, reps, load, duration, distance, pace, rest, notes, and perceived effort.
- Templates, plans, workout history, calendar entries, and training streaks.
- Personal records, progress metrics, readiness context, and training summaries.
- Goals, unit preferences, equipment preferences, and app settings.
- Progress photos or body measurements if you choose to add them.
Health Platform and Wearable Data
If you grant permission, FitKind may collect selected data from Apple Health, HealthKit, Apple Watch, Health Connect, or similar supported platforms, such as:
- Workouts and activity sessions.
- Heart rate and heart-rate context.
- Step count, active energy, sleep, HRV, VO2 max, and similar metrics where available and permissioned.
You control these permissions through your device and platform settings. We use health-platform data only to provide the fitness tracking and readiness features you request.
On Android, FitKind's launch health integration is Health Connect. FitKind does not claim a direct Google Fit API integration at launch, although data from apps that write into Health Connect may be available to FitKind if you grant the relevant Health Connect permissions.
Kit AI Data
If you use Kit or another AI-assisted feature, we may process your prompt, relevant workout context, and the generated response to provide the feature, improve safety, debug failures, and enforce abuse controls.
AI processing may use FitKind systems and specialist AI service providers. The current launch provider is expected to include Together AI, but FitKind may change or add equivalent providers where needed to operate the Service safely and reliably.
Do not submit medical emergencies, highly sensitive information unrelated to fitness tracking, or information about other people unless you have permission.
Payment and Subscription Data
Apple and Google process launch consumer subscription payments through the Apple App Store and Google Play. We receive limited transaction data, such as subscription status, product identifiers, renewal state, purchase history, receipts, and fraud-prevention signals. We do not store full card numbers.
Stripe or another payment processor may be used for future web, business, or operator billing if those purchase paths are separately made available.
Usage, Diagnostics, and Analytics
We collect data about how the Service is used and performs, such as:
- Screens visited, feature usage, workout logging patterns, and onboarding progress.
- Crash logs, performance metrics, error logs, and device diagnostics.
- Website visits, page views, referrers, and cookie/analytics preferences where applicable.
How We Use Data
We use personal data to:
- Provide, maintain, secure, and improve FitKind.
- Log workouts, calculate progress metrics, display readiness context, and sync data across your devices.
- Authenticate users and protect accounts.
- Provide subscriptions, receipts, billing support, and entitlement checks.
- Provide support, respond to requests, and troubleshoot issues.
- Operate Kit AI and related fitness-assistant safety controls.
- Monitor reliability, performance, fraud, abuse, and security.
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms.
We do not sell your health data. We do not use health data from Apple Health, HealthKit, Apple Watch, Health Connect, or similar supported platforms for advertising.
Legal Bases
Where UK GDPR or similar laws apply, our legal bases may include:
- Contract: to provide the Service you request.
- Consent: for optional health-platform permissions, marketing where required, cookies where required, and optional features.
- Legitimate interests: to secure, debug, analyse, and improve the Service.
- Legal obligation: to comply with accounting, tax, consumer, safety, or legal requirements.
Sharing Data
We may share data with:
- Infrastructure, hosting, database, storage, analytics, crash-reporting, email, customer-support, AI, and security providers that help us operate the Service.
- Payment processors and app stores for purchases, subscriptions, refunds, receipts, tax, and fraud prevention.
- Health platforms only as needed for the permissioned sync you initiate.
- Professional advisers, regulators, law enforcement, courts, or counterparties where required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, and security.
- A successor organisation if FitKind is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation, or asset transfer.
We require service providers to process data only for authorised purposes and with appropriate safeguards.
International Transfers
Some service providers may process data outside the United Kingdom or European Economic Area. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, or equivalent protections.
Retention
We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide the Service, maintain security, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Workout, account, and subscription records may be retained while your account is active. When you delete your account we immediately remove directly-identifying information such as your email address and name, and then permanently erase your stored content (including workouts, body and wellness data, and progress photos) within 30 days. After that, only a minimal anonymised record with no identifying information may remain where needed for legal, fraud-prevention, backup, security, or accounting purposes.
Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
FitKind provides in-app export and account deletion controls where available. Export includes account, workout, fitness, subscription, progress, and FitKind-stored health-derived records such as health import logs and daily readiness/fuel aggregates where those records exist in FitKind.
Deleting your FitKind account immediately disables the account, revokes active app sessions, and anonymises your email and name. Your stored content is then permanently erased within 30 days. If you sign up again with the same email address afterwards, you start a brand-new account — your previous data is not restored. Some records may be retained for limited periods where needed for legal, fraud-prevention, backup, security, accounting, or dispute reasons. Deleting FitKind data does not delete source data from Apple Health, HealthKit, Apple Watch, Health Connect, Google, Apple, or your device.
You can change health-platform permissions in your device settings. You can request account or data help by contacting privacy@fitkind.app.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organisational measures designed to protect personal data. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
FitKind is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service changes. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the app, website, email, or another appropriate channel.
